You know how synchronicity works. You think about someone and then they call, you happen to get the last space on the ferry, and you don't get in to the perfect RV park. . . .wait what? That's right! Synchronicity isn't always about getting what you want or something positive. Sometimes, it can be the way things were meant to be for good reason. This goes back to quantum physics. We are all connected by energy fields, that we can both create and manifest in and also be made aware of things that may just save your life, or at the very least a bit of stress.
JASPER SATURDAY July 20 2024
PAUSING FOR A MOMENT JUST OUTSIDE OF JASPER
SUNDAY JULY 21 LOOKING BACK TOWARD JASPER FROM VALEMOUNT BC
I had driven down from Grande Prairie AB on Saturday July 20 2024 to go to Jasper. However, all the RV parks were full in both Jasper and Hinton, so I had to make do and head West to Valemount. It was a SUPER hot day at 40 degrees. Sweat was dripping off me. I stopped in at Jasper to check around the little town and stopped for a break and some gas.

On Tuesday morning I woke up in Valemount BC with all the evacuees at the RV park I was at. It's devastating enough for me who just drove through and admired the beauty, let alone those whose livelihoods and history went up in flames. I had intended to use Valemount as my home base while we hiked the lovely Jasper. As I sit here and write this more than a week later the highway to Jasper is still closed and over a 3rd of the town has been raised to the ground. These fires are often devastating even though it's part of the natural cycle. I keep thinking back to the smiling staff I bought the Parks Canada pass from. They would have been greatly impacted. People's livelihoods, historical buildings, animals, and a town that will be forever changed.
So back to synchronicity, next time something shoves you along to somewhere other than what you want, maybe look for the silver lining. If you have no control over the events like can't get in to any campgrounds for where you'd like to be - there may be a good reason. Whether you accept the reality or not - you will still have to go through it, so why not make the best of it and deliberately look for those things you would or wouldn't have done or seen if life didn't force you in another direction. In my first book, I called this TIEWIN - This Is Exactly What I Need. Meaning whatever happens has already occurred, you have a choice whether or not to resist the inconvenience or or accept it and find silver linings. The choice is yours. Even terrible traumas, I'm not saying be happy that something terrible happened, but there is always wisdom in the event. Maybe you become an activist and help others not suffer the same consequences.
