THE GRACE CODE
Amazing Grace, Princess Grace, but for the Grace of God, Grace Period, State of Grace, Fall from Grace, your good graces, Your Grace, Saving Grace, and Saying Grace before a meal. Not to mention aging gracefully, disgraced, and Grace a toi (‘thanks to you’, according to my Duolingo French lesson Section 4 lesson 3.) The dictionary says GRACE: “unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification.” So we can assume that the word Grace is something other worldly, godly in nature, where something or someone has assisted humans without anything in return, for the benefit of humanity itself. It’s a pretty cool concept. If you think of people who embody the feeling of Grace, I come up with people like Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Rosa Parkes, Martin Luther King Jr, Mr. Rogers, Betty White, along with a not so famous man in court who forgave the 18 yr old killer of his son. He embraced the teenage killer in his arms and treated him like a lost child. The defendant broke down in tears and wept on the father’s shoulder. They hugged for a few minutes. When the defendant was asked why he reacted that way, he said it was the first time in his life when anyone showed him any kindness. **Court tv
We all have moments of Grace in our lives, some more than others, and when you’re on the receiving end, it feels extraordinary. For me, when I think of the one thing in life, I want more of, its Grace. Not just to receive it but to help create it. Yes, I want world peace, and better. But given that those goals are a little too big to bite off, I’ll settle for bringing more Grace to my life and the lives of those around me, and perhaps one day I will notice just the slightest change in my surroundings where people are smiling a little more, and they may even have a little bounce in their step.
THE SYSTEM
The System won't mean much without the background knowledge, just as I can tell you all about a car but it doesn't give you the experience of understanding how to drive. However these are the simple steps. Take a course or read the Grace Code book to really understand the code.
G
Choose a goal that you struggle with achieving.
R
Release your current programmed beliefs that don't support your achievement of the goal
A
Affirm every aspect of how you feel when you achieve that goal.
C
E
Every thought has energy that flows into the universe and affects those around you. Make sure they're good ones.
Once you achieve that goal new opportunities are available to you, using the same techniques - what can you choose now?
G
Reacting angrily to every day things.
R
Reset your negative thinking. Practice specific meditation to reset your default mode network. Think of GRACE and what it would feel like.
A
Run through a role play of a time when an interaction got ugly, and replay what it would be like when you deliver your message calmly
C
Help someone else achieve the goal that you did using the same techniques.
E
Now that you've developed your "calm delivery" drills, practice them until they are your default. Maybe your next goal is to heal the physical symptoms of holding in anger all these years.
